I made a cute little sundress with Raven on it for the drawing topic of the week at work!
Instead of our usual drawing topic, we were given t-shirts and fabric markers and told we could design anything we wanted.
So I cut the sleeves and collar off of my XL tshirt, and added some elastic to make a sundress. I love the look of Raven from the opening theme, so I roughly sketched it out on paper and traced it onto the cotton.
I didn’t have any fabric paint on me at home (the fabric markers provided weren’t bright enough), so I ended up using acrylic paint instead. It made the cotton pretty hard and inflexible (not sure how it’ll end up after a wash :S), but luckily it will be hanging away from my body so I won’t have to feel it rubbing against me.
I definitely want to paint this with proper fabric paint next time, maybe I’ll make a sundress or t-shirt for each character. Who knows?
Sewing time - 1 hour
Painting time - 4-ish hours?
